JOHNS - HALL

Earl Hall Mon Jan 8 07:54:14 2007
I am trying to connect Sara Jane (HALL) JOHNS to another family she lived with in Savannah in 1845. A census or a note I found many years ago stated she was a seamstress and lived with relatives. Who is this family?
My family, John and Mary Silcox HALL went to Mcintosh County ,GA to marry in 1809. They had a son William Ray HALL there in 1817. They lived in FL most of the time.

Sara Jane had been scalped by Indians near Jacksonville a few years earlier. She recovered and later lived in Ft. Ogden, FL with her sister Margaret and her husband, Frank BOGGESS.

ALDRIDGE

Mary Jane Gray Thu Jan 11 14:13:58 2007
I am trying to locate the cemetery my father and grandparents were buried in. I only remember it is located somewhere just outside of downtown Savannah. It was on a river that I could see shrimp boats going down. I know it sounds crazy not to know the name but I have no one to ask and I have not had the chance to visit their graves since 1980. They were all laid to rest between 1972 and 1982.
I am thinking from the descriptions I have seen online of Bonaventure, it may be that one. But, I am sure there are other similar settings in Savannah. Thank you

FERRILL

Boyd Murphree Sat Jan 27 19:49:19 2007
I am searching for information on the family of John C. FERRILL, who lived in Savannah during the Civil War. I believe John C. FERRILL was an insurance executive; one of his son's, Julius A. FERRILL, was killed at First Manassas (July 1861), and his remains were brought back to Savannah and buried in Feb. 1862. Another of John's sons, John O. FERRILL, was an officer in the Civil War. I am especially interested in information on John O. FERRILL (I have seen his service record but have not seen him listed in the 1860 census) but any information on this family would be most helpful.
Yours,
Boyd Murphree
