Seeking information on, Rebecca ELON, dau of Elisha ELON and Ann TONDEE.

In the book, SAVANNAH, The life and Times of Peter Tondee, Rebecca (granddaughter of Peter TONDEE and Lucy MOUSE) married Thomas ROBERTSON and I found that marriage record. Then found a marriage record of a Rebecca ROBERTSON who married William McKAY/MACKAY. Does anyone have proof that this Rebecca is the same Rebecca ELON who married Thomas ROBERTSON??

I'm researching the line of Rebecca ELON and William McKAY. Thank you for any help.

Would like to correspond with descendants of Laurence LEE who according to our family history was "a celebrated physician and surgeon of Savannah, Ga." (Chatham Co.) His siblings were: Cornelia E. LEE and J. Moultrie LEE, Jr. His mother, Harriet Edmond BREESE, of Charleston, SC and his father, J. Moultrie LEE, were married on 6 May 1875, probably in Charleston. I am searching for information on Joseph DAVIS, son of John DAVIS, Jr and Elizabeth (maiden name not know). I found a indenture posted between Joseph DAVIS and his brother, George DAVIS, on Feb 8, 1804 and it stated that Joseph was from Chatham County and George was from Bryan County. If anyone can help me with information on Joseph DAVIS or brothers, John and James. Joseph is believed to have been born in 1762 in NC or SC, and John in 1760 and James in 1764.

Researching my Goddaughter's line. Grandmother are Leitha Catherine JONES Born 11 October 1924 in Savannah, Georgia to Elton Boyd JONES and Leitha Viola FENNEL. Leitha's mother was Tallauah STEVENSON who married Robert FENNEL on 6 June 1878 in Savannah. She became a widow when Leitha was 13 months old...there may not be any more children in this line. Noyhing else is known on this family.

John C. KINGSMORE lived in Chatham Co., GA from at least 1823-1827. John was married to Agness (maiden name unknown); she was born in England about 1794. I am not sure where or when they were married. One of their sons, Clarage H. KINGSMORE, was born in Savanah, GA in 1823. John is documented on the 1826 GA State Census. John is listed as participating in the Georgia Land Lottery, 1827. His residence was Chatham Co. and the county of draw was Muscogee.

If you have any further information or clues about John C. KINGSMORE or his family, please let me know.

John Alexander STEVENSON (b.approx. 1858 d.1918) Seeking any information re his parents' residence in Savannah, their country of origin and date of arrival here if immigrants, their given names and mother's maiden name, religious affiliation, education, siblings, participation in public life, marriage (in 1903 or 1904) to Wilhelmina PITZEL and location of ceremony, employment as purser (probably with the Savannah Line); later with Central of Georgia Railroad, burial site if buried in Savannah.

He is my mother's father and I am trying to obtain copies of his birth, marriage and death certificates. Many thanks for any assistance with these catagories!

I have a photo of the 1899 reunion of the Confederate Veterans of Georgia. The reunion was held November 22-23 at the Savannah Theater. I am interested in any information about the meeting, especially a list of attendees. Access to Savannah newspapers would be one possible source. I am trying to determine if my ggrandfather John Franklin CLARK is in the photo.

Andrew Jackson LEAVELL of DeKalb County, Georgia, a Private in Co. L, Captain J. A. Maxwell's Regular Light Artillery, died in a Hospital in Savannah, Georgia 03 October 1864. Was this a Union hospital? Where would he have been buried? Any information very much appreciated.

Lived in Savannah 1898- 1930 time frame.
