Looking for information on a John T. FERRELL b. 1864. He was listed on the 1880 census for Coweta, Ga with parents, Doctor H. Sally FERRELL and brother, Blount C. I also think he may have married M. D. WORD on Nov. 14, 1882. I have a family Bible from pre Civil War time with the names John T. FERRELL b. Jan. 10, 1864 and Lucy H. FERRELL b. Nov. 18, 1850 and I'm trying to find out who they were.

I am researching Benjamin WALDROP, born 1762. He moved to Coweta in the mid 1820s. He married for the second time Rachael GRIFFIN. They had two children Archibald WALDROP and Benjamin WALDROP, Jr., born about 1827. Does anyone know if there ara any WALDROPs left in Coweta County? Thanks for any help.

Seeking history of Francis HESTERLY who lived in Coweta Co., GA. He died Oct 1849 and his estate was settled in said county. Names his widow and children. David/Daniel GREEN married Margaret HESTERLY in Jackson Co., GA in Jan 1820. This family also lived in Coweta County in 1850 census.
Anyone researching this line?


BROWN - KING - SEWELL - GOLIGHTLY - BARGE - BROADWATER - HYDE

My paternal grandfather, Robert Lee BROWN born in the 1860's several brothers were Joe BROWN, Benjamin BROWN a sister Joan BROWN, (who married a Dr JONES) My father, King Tom BROWN (Robert Lee BROWN's son) was born in 1902 and lived at 9 Buchanan Street in Newnan. Robert Lee BROWN'S wife (my father's mother) was Boyce KING BROWN, she died in appx 1918 or 1919 and is buried at Andrews Chapel Cemetery in Roscoe,GA in the KING family section. Other relatives were the SEWELL, BARGE, GOLIGHTLY, BROADWATER, HYDE.. My grandmother, before she married Robert Lee BROWN, lived in Roscoe and graduated in 1892 from Georgia Teacher's College for Women in Milledgeville, Baldwin County, GA. I have her graduation picture. Both grandparents are listed on the 1910 census, the 1920 census shows Robert Lee BROWN as widowed with two children, (my father) his son, King Tom BROWN and (my aunt) his daughter, Emma Lou BROWN. My great grandfather I am told was Aaron BROWN, who owned sawmills.

Seeking information on Sarah Clifford THOMPSON, born 1847 died 1927. She was the second wife of Elder William Hardaway SMITH they were married in 1904, in the area of Coweta or Meriwether County, after his first wife, Susan Frances "Fannie" SUMMER, died. They later moved to Anniston, AL and lived with his son's family. Sarah and William are both buried in Anniston, Alabama. She died in 1927 and he died in 1929.

Am looking for informantion on a John W. LUNDY who died in Macon Georgia On February 10, 1860. According to the Macon Messenger, He was a native of Newnan, Coweta County and his remains were carried, on Saturday Morning, back to Coweta County, accompanied by his Mother and Sister. I am looking for and interested in meeting anyone that is related to Georgia PRICE who married Marshall STOKES. They had I think 6 children 4 names I know Marshall, John, Willam, and Elsie. I know Marshall had a sister named Ethel with whom he travel to Milwaukee, Wisconsin with and they worked at the Plankinton Hotel. Georgia DRIVER was his (Marshall) wife her parents were Bartow PRICE and Ella DRIVER. They were from the Newnan area.

Their children born there were John-1827; William N-1829; Sarah C.-1832; Daniel W.-1833; Martha A.-1835; Narciper J.-1837; Olive-1839; Nancy Ann-1844. Henry died in 1873. I find a Hiram REAVES m: Catherine ROBERTS on 10/12/1847 on the Coweta listing on the internet. It shows Hiram as b: 1825 in SC. This fits my ancestor perfectly....How do I determine his parentage listed when application made? How may I get a copy if it is the correct person?

I am looking for information on the family of Isaac Newton DAVIS, born about 1830 in Elbert Co, GA. The 1860 US Census lists him in Coweta Co. with occupation of "Editor". Also lists brothers / cousins (???) James J. (Attorney) and Jesse M. Davis (Printer) in same household. Wife was Elizabeth (NEWELL) DAVIS, who was born in MS. A review of Coweta Co. newspapers around 1860 lists the "Independent Blade" from 1859-1860. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!
