I have several famiy from the area: 1) My great grandma is Emma Wallis BJORNSTAD. Her father Peter BJORNSTAD; mother Julia both from Norway.
2) My grandma on the other side is Verna Marie BARTHELS (sp?) Father - Magnus (Max) BARTHELS and Mother - Margaret BERNARD

My name is Jeffrey Reynald KEIM. My family and I live in Minot. My father who is now deceaesd was Reynald Vivian KEIM, born December 1925 in Breckinridge, MN. My Grandfather was Harold KEIM who was born in North Dakota and farmed for many years in Richland County. My Grandmother was Agnes ANDERSON, born in Whapeton now deceased. My father joined the Navy during WWII and then settled in Florida where I grew up.

I would like to learn about my Grandparents (Harold KEIM & Agnes (ANDERSON) KEIM) of Whapeton, North Dakota.

I am a doctor in Minot now for five years and I was born in Columbia, S.C. on September 2, 1953. Please let me thank you in advance.

GABBERT, Emma nee MANKE died 8-25-1925 and is buried in Hankinson of Richland Co. The Richland Co. cemetery index, Vol. 9 has the surname GABBET with the #'s 132, 134, 135, 136 & 141.

I would like to find Emma's obituary. Would a volunteer in the area do a search for me.

I'm looking for information on the Family of Arthur Max SCHULTZ and Delia Rose MURPHY. They were living in Richland County prior to 1912 as that is when their third child Blanche SCHULTZ was born 14 Jul 1912. Her place of birth is said to be Galchutt, ND. Who would have these birth records ? How would I find more info on the family such as what Township they lived in, where they worked, etc.? Family stories are he worked on a large ranch ??? for a family named LANGDON [spl??].
They left the area prior to 1920 and moved to Wisconson.

I am looking for information on Peter KINN and Gertrude KRUMP. My mothers parents ( my grandparents.) I never knew them and as my grandfather died in 1920. Grandmother in 1930. Gertrude KRUMP had a brother Nicholas KRUMP who was suppose to live north of Hankinson and an Uncle Peter KRUMP who was suppose to live west of Hankinson.
If anyone knows who Nicholas parents were I would appreciate hearing from them. Or Peter KINNs parents.

Lester and Harvey LEEMAN were both born in Hankinson, ND. Their parents were William LEEMAN and Lillian STERNS. I believe William was born in WI in 1856, but have no information on when or how they traveled to or how long they were in ND. Any information at all would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Anybody having information on Andrew PAULSON (b 3/8/1840 in Norway) Married Johanna Sirene SHEFFENBERG. They had several children (Alfred, Andrew, Dorothy, John S, Nellie, Palma & Hannah.

He and Johanna are buried in a cemetery south of Christine (the New Richland Lutheran church?) on east of 29.

I am looking for information on Benhart (Bernard, Ben) Clarence MANZ, born 1887 in Minnesota. According to WWI registration he lived in Richland in 1917 with his wife and one child. In 1948 he was listed as a survinor in his father's obituary. I can't find any information on him between 1917-1948 and would appreciate any information or suggestions. Thanks! Sue

Hello, I am looking for information on the ZILLGITT (or KUTTER) family who allegedly lived in Wahpeton, ND in the late 1800's. Linda Lytha ZILLGITT was born in Wahpeton, ND on July 11, 1882. Her parents were Godfrey Benjamin ZILLGITT, born Feb 3, 1851 in Germany (Preussia), and Louise Charlotte KUTTER, born March 29, 1862 also in Germany (Preussia).

The family later moved to California. I am looking for information on behalf of a friend of mine in Lodi, CA. Linda Lytha ZILLGITT is his maternal grandmother. She died Sep 23, 1921 in Stockton, CA.

Linda Lytha may have had a sister Clara.

Any clues will be greatly appreciated,

I have a picture of a tombstone for Julianna KOTTKE (1837-1907). I believe it is in a cemetery located in Richland County, however it could also be in either Traverse or Wilkin Co, MN. The only other tombstone I can read in the background has the family name of NEUMANN. Any help is appreciated.

My grandparents, George and Sadie, lived in Wahpeton. I believe I have cousins according to the 1900 census. A Richard L. FERRIS and his family lived next door to my gparents. The wife was Mary, children appear to be ASSAD, John, Nirnno(?) and Martha. All but two of George and Sadie's children died in their teens. My father was 8 when the family came west. If you have any information about any members of this family, particularly why they came to the States, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
