Searching for information on the descendants of Peter and Mary RATH from Mecklenberg Schwerin Germany. Four of their children immigrated to the US and settled in and around Richland County, WI between 1864 and 1872. A son John Carl RATH (15 Sep 1839-2 Jan 1933) married Fredericka PINGLE in Mecklenberg, Germany and moved to Richland County, WI where they raised three sons - John Frederick RATH, James H RATH, and William Henry RATH.

A daughter, Elizabeth (RATH) PAULS (24 Dec 1842-16 Feb 1933) came to WI in about 1864, she married James PAULS in 1865 and had a son Henry F PAULS.

Another daughter, Minnie )RATH) NEHLS DEMMER (17 Jul 1843 - 22 May 1921) first married John NEHLS on 18 Oct 1867 and had a son Richard NEHLS. Minnie second married Herman DEMMER. A son, William RATH, lived in the Muscoda area and is thought to be the father of Amelia E. (RATH) RADEL (04 AUG 1878 - 17 MAR 1965) who is buried in Ash Creek Cemetery and who married Benjamin William RADEL in 1921. Another daughter, Frieda (RATH) LEHMAN married Robert LEHMAN and remained in Germany.

If you have any of these individuals in your family history files please contact me.
