I am looking for information about my grandfather, Joseph W. BORDEN. His name is listed in the 1920 census for Green Township in Chenango County. Parker died in 1947 when I was only 15 and I never learned anything about my Grandfather except his name. Looking for information on the MERRIHEW family of Chenango Co, NY. I have them in Sherburne, Norwich, Four Corners, etc. I can't seem to find them in the cemetery listings here online.
The first settler of this line I find in Chenango Co is John MERRIHEW 1779-1863 and his wife Phebe WRIGHT (1781-1843). They had 14 children, so there should be at least one grave in the area for them, but my digging has produced nothing.
Any information on this branch of the family would be helpful.
