Am searching for information on Solomon STOWELL b. 1775 d. abt 1830-1850 and his wife Lydia. They were in Chenango (Madison) county 1800 along with his brothers Daniel and Jesse. From there Solomon traveled to Jefferson County in 1810 and Jesse went to Madrid, St.Lawrence County. Solomon was the son of Enoch STOWELL b.1740. Am looking for the maiden name of Lydia and any information on this family. Solomon was my ggg grandfather.

Am searching for the burial place of George A. BAXTER. He died 18 Jun 1939 at the County Poor House in Norwich, NY. He was born at Polkville (Chenango) NY 18 Mar 1859 to Henry A. BAXTER and Martha NICHOLS. I have info on the family; just wanted to know if he was buried in Chenango Co. as I cannot find his burial at Emporium (Cameron) PA where his two wives are buried.

My grgr grandmother was named Lucy Ann BABCOCK. She married William D. HAKES of Truxton, Cortland County, NY ca 1758-1859, where they are shown in the 1860 census. He is shown with his parents in the 1850 census in Truxton. Their oldest child was born 2 July 1860, shortly after that census date.
William's father, Willet HAKES was living in Otselie and Lincklaen, Chenango County, NY and Truxtion, Cortland County, NY, at various times in his last years. Because of the close proximity of the towns above named in Cortland and Chenango Counties, I am hoping that this may be the woman I am looking for.
She is my brick wall. Thanks in advance for the assist.

I am searching for Asaph CLEMENS that came to Chenango, County New York from Charlton, Mass. I found his name in the Assessment Roll of real and personal estates in town of Cazenovia, County of Chenango on the 23 of May 1805. I believe he migrated from New York to Kankakee County Illinois about 1850.

I'm interested in learning if anyone has come across a grave stone for Coone WILLIAMS? "Coone" has also been spelled as McCoon, McKane, Macoone, etc. Coone WILLIAMS was born in So. Kingston, RI in 1735. After the Rev. War, Coone moved to Columbus/New Berlin, NY to join his sons, Henry, James, Daniel and Benjamin. Coone was living with Henry in the 1810 US Census and had his own place next to Henry's in the 1820 Census. Coone's name was spelled "Cone" in the 1820 census. Based on an account of Coone's grandson, Randall WILLIAMS, Coone WILLIAMS died at his NY home at the age of 100. Thus, Coone should be buried somewhere close to Columbus or New Berlin, NY. Coone may have been living with a woman named Anna CRANSON or CRANSTON in1820 as well. Coone is not buried with his son Henry, as Henry's grave has been found in Lamb's Corners Cemetery. If you have any info. on a possible grave siting of Coone WILLIAMS, please contact me.

I am searching information on Jabez COLLINS, his wife, father/mother, brothers/sisters. Jabez COLLINS is buried at Sherburne Hill West Cemetary in the old section: died June 28, 1810, age 30 yrs. His widow married Joseph R. CRANDALL of Cortland County. He had two sons (one named Jabez COLLINS who married Adeline Unknown) and one daughter.

Does anyone have descendent information for Ephraim P. BROWN (b. 13 Nov 1800 Stonington, New London, Connecticut; d. 21 Jan 1885 Pharsalia, Chenango, New York) and Orilla (HANKS or HAKES ?) ? m. 29 Apr 1827. They are buried in Pharsalia Center Cemetery. The on-line cemetery index suggests that Catherine KENYON buried near them may be their daughter ????
Ephraim was a son of Nathan and Eunice BROWN. I have some sketchy info that suggests that they may be my ggg-grandparents.
