Eli TOWSLEY / TOUSLEY b. 23 Jan 1777 in Connecticut, and Melinda (HURLBURT) b. 20 mar 1781 in Connecticut, moved to Smithville before the 1810 census. They are also in Smithville in the 1830 census. It appears that they had at least eight kids, including
Marietta b. 1803, who married Myron COWLES; Susan M. b. 1804, who married Hiram COWLES; Ann Maria, b. 1805, who married Philo Melville CALLENDER, b. 18 July 1805 in New York.

The Hurlburt Genealogy says of Eli and Melinda, "they died leaving a large family." Who are the other five, or more, TOWSLEY children?

Philo CALLENDER and family are in Smithville in 1830, 1840, and 1850, and his wife and some kids are still there in 1860, preparing to move to Oregon with Philo. Philo and Ann Maria both died in Astoria, Oregon in 1890 and 1883, respectively, and had at least four kids, Almira b. 1830; Mariette, b. 1832/1833,who married a Mr. ALLEN and had at least two sons in New York, and later married Thomas GOODWIN in Oregon; and Melville P. b. 7 Sep 1838 and married and had a long descendancy in Astoria, Oregon; and a son, b. 1825-1830.

Basically, any information you may have would be greatly appreciated.

In advance, many thanks for any help you can give.
